181 Moorabool is the new architectural landmark in the heart of Geelong. With approx. 3300sqm of lettable area, this five-level building upgrade is an adaptive reuse of a former 2 level office arcade and will be Barwon Health’s hub for a range of health services for Geelong and surrounds. We feel privileged to carry out Development Management on projects like this supported by visionary clients and top line consultants.

The challenge
An ageing Geelong arcade with no obvious path to a viable use.
What we saw
We tested a range of options through multiple feasibility studies until one worked for the site: an extension of the existing building for health use.
Our role
End to end: feasibility, consultant appointment, planning, tendering and delivery.
The outcome
A stalled, underperforming asset became a purpose-built healthcare facility, now leased to Barwon Health.
